-remember to look at presentation packs/stamp book
-brief is to capture the essence of your subject on the smallest canvas
-King's head and value included
-don't have to be square
-include i colour ink hand stamp
-no matter the shape they must have the wavy edge
-only a degree of FLEXIBILITY in size. Must be functional as a stamp

First initial design for stamp outline. I thought the bold colour of the outline made the stamps to cartoon like, i wanted a more elegant style so went back to the drawing board.

After talking with zoe i came up with a new idea to steer away from books, and look at emotions/environments in which people read.

I loved the idea of the stamps on the right. They were designed by Wilson McLean in 1985. The theme behind the stamps was comperer fredrick Delius. BUT INSTEAD OF JUST PUTTING THE COMPOSERS FACE ON THE STAMPS THE DESIGNER HAS CREATED A SERIES OF BEAUTIFUL PIECES TO SHOW WHAT HE THOUGHT THE MUSIC LOOKED LIKE.

I took the photo from Pinterest so i could get an idea of what my design would look like before i took my own photos which can be seen below.

After doing some more research i found n artist called Alex antonescu, Alex is an illustrator and graphic designer based in Romania and here is some of his work.

He takes photography and adds a cartoon illustration on top. The drawing fits into the photo as if it was supposed to be there and i think it is very clever.
